Thread pinned at top of Forum

For several days now the same thread has been 'pinned' at the top of the Helproom Forum even though other threads have had more recent posts.

It also has a 'pin' symbol at the top-right near the thread's title.

I haven't knowingly pinned it! How do I un-pin it?

um, I'll think you'll find that the FE (or another site administrator) pinned it and is pinned for everyone

It's pinned there because it explains how to use the new site

It's something that has been suggested (and resisted by FE) - known on other forums as a 'sticky'. Has it's uses if not overdone.
