ive just bought a musketeer thermometer and was wondering where to fit the little sensor, it came with no instructions. is it safe to clamp it between the cpu and the heatsink or is there a better place? thanx

Not between the heatsink and the CPU, it is not a good reference point because this is not the cpu temp its the core which is underneath between the socket and the cpu like i did using my CM Aerogate.

Putting between the cpu and the heatsink will prob screw the diode and the cpu will run hotter.

Not sure what probs you have, but if its the long thin type, you can attach underneath the socket by taking the CPU and Heatsink out. Its bloody hard so take your time.

These guys show hows its done, but the pictures have gone funny on my screen!!
