Thermal Greese Help

Recomendation please for CPU Thermal Grease Compound. I have the choice of
OCZ Freeze Extreme Thermal Conductivity Compound
Or Akasa Revolutionary Silicone Thermal compound, 3.5G with Spreader Card Or Arctic Cooling Thermal Paste MX-2

In the past I have used Arctic Silver 5. I am desperate for it within the next few hours and need some feedback please on which of the above does a good job as well as Arctic Silver 5

I've been using MX-2 in preference to Arctic Silver 5 and find it slightly superior. Either one gives good results.

I trust you advice, and will go the MX-2!

I should have pointed out that I haven't used the other products you mentioned. Also you only need the tiniest amount of MX-2, don't spread it over the CPU but use a single 'drop' in the centre.

One thing I always do is to apply the grease, refit the heatsink/waterblock then remove it and reapply again. This squeezes any excess grease to the sides and also confirms it's spread properly.

One big advantage of MX-2 over AS5 is that it doesn't need a 'curing' period (200 hours for AS5).
