One of my flock was given an old 'Time' machine with Win2000 about a year ago.
As he is a total newbie I cleared all reference to its past life[his sons] even down to removing it's 'Time' I/D and its tie up to a now defunct ISP
So that short of a reformat this was a 'bare' machine.

And he has been having fun getting to grips with the internet and so forth.

Then he hit a snag.
I tried several fixes that did not seem to do much
So I thought- OK system restore.

Well now here is the rub the system restored OK
back 3 years with all his sons programs and internet settings and so forth.
So I have now set it to 'unrestore' and will work out his problems another way.

What I would be interested to do is to find all those old settings and clear them out.
Short of a reformat that is.
