is there a secret Application Data folder? Weird!

OK - so I have bought a digital camera and have loaded my photos into the PC.

My puzzle is that when I go looking for the photos through Windows [XP] Explorer, they don't show.

In fact I think there seems to be an "invisible" folder called Application Data in which the photosoftware stores the photos [I am not sure how I found this as it is invisible, but I am sure I saw it once, in Documents and Settings, though I can't seem to find it again]. Can anyone enlighten me as to whether I am going mad or imagined it - and how I can locate the files via Windows Explorer?

thanks in advance for your help

I had the same problem a little while ago trying to trace a downloaded file.

The path is c:documents and settings/*your name*/Application Data. However, you MUST click 'show hidden folders' via Control Panel>Folder Options>View [second tellow folder down] to be able to see it.
