Is there equivalent to PC100 SDRAM?

  pcbobby 19:19 06 Feb 06

I have acquired an old Compaq Deskpro. P3 and 650Mhz
The OS is 98SE.

It contained 128MB. PC100. SDRAM, I have used this stick on my ‘good’ PC (as it was compatible) to boost the RAM.

In the near future, I would like to install 256MB or more RAM in the Compaq, but I find that PC100 memory sticks are not very popular, and where it is obtainable, it is very expensive.

Is there such a thing as a compatible or equivalent memory stick for this PC?

Probably your best bet would be a computer fair and buy some second hand ram.
