Tghtwad needs download manager

  gloombucket 19:21 10 Dec 09

I installed the Orbit toolbar this afternoon, and it got stuck on a software download on 159,409 KB. It was like that for about 2 hours, then I noticed my pay-as-you-go mobile broadband was down about £3 and still going down fast. Orbit is now uninstalled.
Can anyone recommend a download manager that might suit me? I occasionally download software packages, and not much else. I don't want anthing that's resource-hungry when not use. I want to be able to tell it to give up, and I would prefer a progress bar to checking the file size all the time. Is there anything like that?
