Can anybody please help,

Got a laptop for xmas. I have been having trouble when being on the internet. After a few minutes I get the following message:

The system is shutting down
The shutdown was initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM
windows must restart because the remote procedure call was terminated unexpectly

I have norman antivirus installed on the laptop. When I have scanned I get the following message:
C:\windows\system32\TFTP2080 Damaged File

Anybody know what it means and what to do next?

You have got the Blaster virus.

First Start, Run and type

shutdown -a

and click OK. This will give you more time.

Next, get the MS Patch. Without it you'll be reinfected every time you connect: click here

Then run either Stinger click here or the Norton removal tool click here
