I know it is not normally courteous to muscle in on someone elses thread, but I feel this question is a relevant part of mikegm7's question. Do all computers have the relevant connectors to link to monitors with DVI technology?

The Kestrel, no your graphics card need to have a dvi connection port on it, most tfts' that only have a dvi connection come with an adaptor so it can work with older analogue only cards.

dvi connection is something nice to have (if your graphics card support it), but it is not essential. DVI cable is not normally supplied and more expensive.

I test my with both connections, I cannot find any difference. But someone else may have sharp eye.
