With doing a fair bit of cad work (Still using a 15" SAD) erh to replace screen would a TFT 17" 19" or 21" or same in CRT size But my Q is which is better for CAD work.

I read somewhere that TFT is not suitable for watching DVD's on but what is TEXT/Drawing like ?

It is a very personal thing and you will get a split in the replies you get.

From my point of view, I wouldn't give a TFT a second look. Some of my staff are completely opposite in their preference.

The best thing really is to do a live trial using first one, then the other type of screen.

Go down to your local computer superstore and give each type a try out.

looks like TFT wins, I have seen TFT's before but because of the Desktop space saving (- the Chunky back on a TFT)

Just hope none or not too many dead pixels LG or Iyamma 431S if I can still get one.
