I am trying to understand the full value of DVI connections please - any help ?
a - if I get a computer with a TV card and an aerial input , will I be able to view TV programms on my monitor with a DVI connection or do I need a TV set for it ?
b - alternatively , can I use a TV set with a Scart connection for my computing work that would normally be viewed on a monitor ?

Yes to first question. I have a Hauppage card in my PC. TV picture is excellent on an analogue 17 inch tft monitor (AOC).

To the alternative: Resolution on TV screens by and large not good enough for comfortable computing. Cannot comment on method of connection.

Hi, first part, yes, I have same setup as Jeffers22. In addition I have the Radeon 9200 graphics card which allows 2 monitor use (ie 2nd 'monitor' is my tv set. Cheers.
