Text not appearing when I print from an email

I have an Epson stylus Photo 895 printer and Windows 2000. I have been trying to print off an email that was sent to me today, but, although it prints the email, it is without the text in the email. The logos and words relating to the email appear and lined boxes, but nothing in the lined boxes and no email content. I highlighted the areas I wanted and tried that without success. I have also just tried to print the whole page as is, but, just the same. Can anybody advise.

Worked it out, all it was, was my black ink was not printing. Cleaned the print heads, and all now working. I should have thought of that before I posted. Sorry folks.
