text getting half-hidden.

i use opera 9.51 and xp windows.

i've just updated to the 9.51 actually, the trouble is that when viewing webpages, a lot of the time the lines of text will be over-lapping.
what i mean is, that each line is halfway on top of the previous one, so in other words i only get to see half of the text, the top half!

this doesn't happen with every page i visit, however it is starting to get a little too common for my liking.

i've had a look at the fonts and changed the size of them but it doesn't make any difference.

any ideas at all?

Never used opera but have you tried the 'help' files ?

Try this, tools- preferences- advanced tab. In left pane click on fonts. In right pane click on 'web page normal text' (mine is times new roman).
Check that minimum font size (pixels) is set to the default 9.
