I want to upgrade my hard drive as i only have 10gb. As a pc novice do i take the easy route and fit an external hard drive or go for an additional internal. I am also worried that as I don't have any disks for windows xp (pc was given to me)I may wipe out my current drive. What could you advise.

Hi chuffinpuffin. Fitting an internal hard drive is fairly easy if you are at all competent with handling technical things. Fit the new drive as slave and you won't lose any data. Have a look here at the interactive guide click here

An external drive is going to be slower, because it will be connected via USB, if you can live with that it is certainly the easy oprion.
