Windows XP Hone SP2
IE6; Firefox 1.5

I recall long ago exchanges about a strange MS inclusion in Windows - a folder which if deleted re-installs on a re-boot. It is called Xerox, and sits in program files. There never was a satisfactory explanation.

I now find another stranger - teredo. This seems to be the only service listed by default under Windows Firewall, Advanced, Network Connection Settings, Settings, Services. Anyone any idea what this is and why it's listed? Please excuse my paranoia!

Thanks for the link, PsiFox (tho' I think I'll need days to read and inwardly digest!). Since neither IPv6 nor teredo is enabled by default in XP2, can I assume that this has been added by a MS update? I certainly haven't (knowingly) added it.

Thanks agaib PsiFox. I guess this will be the next target for the MS hacking brigade.
