Temporary Folder

When I download a file from the web it says it's saving it to the "temporary folder". I had a problem when I had to stop a subsequent installation and was unable to find this folder to restart the file.

Am I simply an idiot or is this folder hidden away somewhere? I have windows xp home.

Or redownload after making a folder called Downloads on your desktop and saving it there.

Thanks chaps. Believe it or not I still can't see files in the temporary internet files folder as I don't have a "local settings" subfolder for some reason.

I'll just go with Downloads folder and that should solve my future problems.
