The dealer is replacing my faulty hard drive with a new one, so, do I get to keep the old one?

  Djohn 14:49 05 Mar 03

Not if it is being replaced under warranty, as it will need to be sent back to manufacturer/supplier.

  Sir Radfordin™ 15:00 05 Mar 03

Its faulty...why would you want to keep it?

  graham 15:02 05 Mar 03

Nothing naughty on it? ;-)

  Goldcroft 15:12 05 Mar 03

With a title like yours you won't get a reply from me.

  tbh72 15:34 05 Mar 03

It's a little bit rude!!!! Or implying we're all stupid.

My bet is he don't wanna send it back as he has something to hide!!!! FE pass his details to the police lol

  Sir Radfordin™ 15:41 05 Mar 03

You just did reply!

  lodger 17:55 05 Mar 03

Sir Rad, surely I would wish to keep it in the same way that I would wish to keep any item containing personal information, such as a wallet, or diary. After all, people spend good money on software to try to keep their pc private and safe from hackers etc... anyway, luckily enough, there is only credit card details and full bank account info on there, phew! :))

  Djohn 18:19 05 Mar 03

lodger, if your account is anything like mine, then they may feel sorry for you, and put a few bob in! :o)

  leo49 18:41 05 Mar 03

:o)

Djohn, rush me your bank details so I can transfer some funds to you.

A Nigerian contact of mine has some surplus funds which he needs to pass through a friednly bank a/c in a hurry .......... ;~)
