Task manager requires pass after 10 mins

The PC when idle goes to the log on screen in the task manager asking for the p[assword again, since its unnecessary can anyone tell me how to switch it off,

Is your Pc set to password protect on resume in display properties,is this what you mean?

Control Panel - Performance and Maintenance - Power Options - Advanced. Untick "Prompt for a password etc".

its the task manager log on, you know the ctrl alt delete one , it reverts to this when idle and i don't need it, thanks guys,

In XP, Control Panel - User Accounts - Advanced. In Secure logon, uncheck the "Require users to press Ctrl+Alt+Delete" check box.
