Tape drive with XP

I'm thinking about adding a SCSI tape drive as an additional back up device for an XP machine.

Previous experiance with a SCSI UPS is that XP detects the device, doesn't find a driver has a little sulk but otherwise the device works fine. Would this be the same for a tape drive?

The tape drive would be a DLT 7000

TomG, why do it?

What is the advantage of a tape drive?

I know that there are other options I just happen to have one and it is a waste not to use it for additional back up.

Download the driver from click here for XP then XP shouldn't throw a wobbly.
