My internet service provider is talktalk, I used to have a wireless connection using a BT voyager router, (conection was not a problem), I have recently purchased a new laptop, with windows vista basic home package, the laptop does not even pick up the wireless conection. Yet if I have taken it to my friends house, who has BT hub, it picks up the signal, not a problem. Can anyone help me please, it is driving me crazy!!! (If anyone can help please tell me the exact steps needed please).
Many thanks
in hope

Have you tried re booting the modem / router.
I have known times that I could not pick up my connection and re booting the computer didn't work so I re booted the computer and away we went into the wireless connection, with no further problems.

So simple it is a solution that is easly overlooked.
