TalkTalk router box

I have a TalkTalk router which I was sent when I thought I was going to subscribe to them. In the end I didn't but they did not ask for the router back. Can I use it as a spare in case my other router fails or is it set specifically for TalkTalk?

I suppose if you dont send it back, they will bill you.

This was 2 years ago and I haven't heard a word from them - it has been sitting in its box ready for them if they requested it.

It's probably locked to TalkTalk - I have one from Tiscali and that can't be used with other ISPs (and believe me I've tried!).

So do I just throw it away - it seems such a waste!

I recently used a spare TalkTalk router on a BTInternet connection - with no problem. So give it a try before you throw it away.

yeah, if you can access the router page and set up your present ISP, then brilliant.
