TalkTalk Modem MT882 received with start-up pack, does not retain it's connection information after powering off. I can only get connected again by re-installing from CD. Is this Modem faulty?

hi mojud.....
it might be a problem with the usb port rather than the modem....could be wrong.
what operating system ?.

hi mojud...
the talktalk package normally comes with a usb modem ,which is why i thought the usb might be at fault....
the mt882 is a modem /router....did you set up the routers config page with all the settings for the connection ?
normally once this is set up, the router holds all the info it might be a faulty modem .
