Talking Alarm Clock - Settings ???

  Dirty Dick 15:38 14 Apr 05

I have downloaded a copy of Talking Alarm Clock onto my desktop PC and my laptop. It works fine on my laptop, giving me a speech alarm, BUT on my Desktop it only gives a visual alarm, No Speech! On my Desktop it says that Microsoft Agent "text-to-speech" engine is not installed. How do i install and where do I get this "speech-to-text" engine and what is it.

Thanks DD

Hi, have a look in Control Panel >Sounds and Audio Devices. Then have a look under Voice, I think you may have to upgrade your SoundCard in PC to get Voice to work.

Yoda Knight - Thanks - I downloaded from your link and the talking clock now works.

Technotiger - Didn't have to upgrade sound card

There's also the Narrator link from Accessories>Accessibility that might have worked?
