Tables in word, corrupted?

My word 2002, when sometimes I open a file with tables it says it is corrupted. I have repaired but the same happens mostly with one file.

Any reason for this?

I've had this on occasions with Word 2000 and have yet to discover what causes it. I find, though, that if I copy and paste it to a new document and save it it seems to remove the 'corruption'.

i go with Big Elf on this, copy the contents and paste into a new file, save with a different name.

delete the existing file, then rename the new one back to what it was before.

I've experienced the same with Office XP Word. When I convert the tables into text instead, the original documents stays stable.
