Tab Issues (IE8)

Everytime I enter an address in IE a new tab is opened. I have looked in the tab settings but there is nothing there. Is there anyway of opening a different address in the same tab.

As this appears to be your second thread on problems you're having with IE8, I assume you don't understand it.

Why not revert to IE7?

Open I.E. - Tools - Internet Options - on the I.E. options screen select TABS - Settings - Make your selection from there.

The other thread it about SilverLight.
Can't revert back to IE7 as I have Win 7. On Win XP I don't have the tab issue. Can I fix this.

As northumbtia61 has pointed out, you need to change the 'Tabbed Browsing Settings' in IE8.

Go to Tools->Internet Options.
Click on the 'General Tab'.
Look for the section entitled 'Tabs' and click the button labelled 'Settings'.
There should be a section entitled 'Open links from other programs in'.
Now click the radio button that says 'The current tab or window'.

Sorry still doesn't work.

Lets go back to the beginning - you say "I have looked in the tab settings but there is nothing there" - are you saying that there is NOTHING listed under Tabs ?
