T-mobile USB modem with ubuntu

Hi i don't currently have ubuntu installed but am going to in the not too distant future. Just want a bit of background knowledge.

I have posted the same question on another ubuntu forum but thought i'd post it here as well.

I currently use a Huwai (I'm not sure if thats how its spelt) T-mobile USB modem but would like to use it with ubuntu as well. I'm pretty sure that ubuntu could find it. However it requires some software so that i can connect to the internet. Would this software work on ubuntu?

Having said that, I tried it in Fedora Core 10.00 and it worked out of the box, so the latest Ubuntu (released on Thursday this week) may be a lot better.

And no, you can't use the supplied Windows software.
