In msconfig/start up tab which are the entries for the LAN & Safely Remove Hardware icons in the System tray please? I want to uncheck them.

Not sure about removing them, but if you want to hide them from the sys tray, [Notification area] then right click on the main taskbar, choose "Properties" then "Customise".

Scroll down to the two, or more Icons you want to hide and click on them, a drop down menu will appear with the options.

always hide

Always show

Hide when inactive

Place a tick in the always hide, and click your way out, you won't see them again until you change the settings above. j.

Well, I've done what you said which made sense but they are still there.

Any ideas?
