Hi Gang
How do you delete icons from the system tray. It's the tray on the right hand side at the bottom where the Date & Time lives.
Thanks
Bun

Bun, it all depends on what you want to delete. If it's the sound symbol, then it's in the sounds property window. If it's something that you have add, then you will need to open that software, and have a look around in the settings somewhere, you will need to untick/tick something. Or you could have a look in MSCONFIG-START-UP TAB.

Go to Start/Run/Type msconfig/enter. Select the start tab and untick anything you don't want to see in the system tray but beware do not antic you AV or Firewall or they will not run at start up . You can untick any program that doesn't need to run. To reverse any decision you make do the same thing but put the tick back in the box. You will need to reboot after any change.

You can stop progs loading at startup with Starup Inspector which will also show if any trojans are present click here
