system speaker

I'm using sticky keys (accessibility option) and the motherboard speaker beeps very loudly every time I use it - is there any way of turning down the beep? It is the same beep you hear when booting up.

I think its by design you have the beep when you use stickykeys, i think you can turn off the beep in the options untick "make a sound when turning a feature on and off" in the general part accessability options.

I can't find that option in xp. I need the sticky keys but the sound is driving me nuts

mute speakers?

It is coming from the tower not through the main speakers - I need to mute the system speaker in the tower case

Found it under control panel - accessibility. Thanks Guys for all your help.

You can also Disable it in Device Manager from System Devices>System Speaker
