System restore

  Chopin 16:05 30 May 04

When I try to restore to an earlier state I get a message that there are no restore points. When I try to set a restore point I get a message that the system can't create one. Is there something that needs setting?

Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore, System Restore Settings, Turn on System Restore.

Thanks. I have Me edition. When I go through Start,Progs, Acc's, Syst Tools, System restore I don't have an option for settings.
If I go through Control Panel, Syst props, Performance, File System, Troubleshooting the Disable System Restore box is not ticked.
I have over 50GB clear.

It looks fearful - I don't know whether to attempt it or live without the restore function, as I have for 2 years.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction but I'll probably have to leave it. I'm closing the thread as resolved.
