This is a display driver issue...Visit here:

crosstrainer
do i unload the existing driver before installing the new one ,or will it overwrite the existing one

  crosstrainer 11:42 29 Feb 08

It will overwrite, but I would uninstall the old one first to be sure of a clean install...When uninstalling take care to remove only the display driver, and not the chipset drivers (if you have an Nvidia chipset, it might be an idea to update those too....Same link for download as posted:))

the Nvidia site states i already have the latest driver ,do you think i should uninstall and reinstall
crosstrainer thank you

  crosstrainer 11:45 29 Feb 08

Yes, but seems quite a few others are having the same problems....Worth a try though....It may be an issue that Nvidia are in the process of correcting, What is your graphics card?

Nvidia 8600GT X2 SLI

  crosstrainer 11:49 29 Feb 08

SLI part that seems to be causing issues....Try a fresh install and then enable SLI...I have 2x 8800GTX's in this, and they sometimes play up in SLI mode....Re-installing the drivers does the trick. I would download the drivers from the Nvidia link I gave, just to make sure that you have a clean copy of them when you re-install.

crosstrainer
Well that seems to have done the trick, thank you for your help

Thanks for the thanks :) Keep an eye on the Nvidia site for new drivers.
