A friend of mine has a problem with his system crashing, windows '98 will run for a short time then the system crashes and comes up with "A fatal exception error o.e has occured at 0028:c0004e80 in vxd vmm (01)+0003e80, the current application will be terminated. Press any key to continue, press any key to restart computer. Scandisk then runs and reports no faults. This problem keeps recuring all the time.
Also when trying to run Kodak PS he gets "This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down, KPS caused in invalid page fault in module mswsosp. dll. at 0167:794cl1945 followed by Kax=794c1945 cs-0167 Kip=794cl1945 followed by a whole page of the same stuff. Im totally puzzled, anyone any ideas? He has recently reinstalled Win '98 2nd edition after having the same problem with Win 1st ed
