I tried to install a programme from a PC Advisor cover disc but a pop up said "this file is set to be launched by the pdf file, this is currently disallowed by your system administrator" i am the only user of this home computer so there is no administrator so how do i overcome this problem?

Often you may find that if you right click on the install programme and then click on properties there will be a box that allows you to tick to "run as administrator"

Reboot Start tap F8 (F5) as its booting select, safe mode, at logon, go to the admin account, hit enter,

or try Just press and hold "Ctrl" and "Alt" and press "Delete" twice while the Welcome Screen is displayed.

Type in "Administrator" as the username, and leave the password field blank

Start -Settings -Control panel -User Accounts - click your account - change an Account - Change account type - tick Computer administrators - click OK

Close windows and reboot you should now have Administrator privileges
