Hi,
ACER T120 XP sp3
I'm looking for a HAND symbol in Word 2007, to use in a document. I thought there used to be one of an open hand, showing the palm, fingers & thumb etc (as though a policeman was holding up his hand to 'stop traffic') etc.

I've looked in the symbols list and was surprised not to find one there. Is there one ?
many thanks

There is a hand in the Wingdings font but the fingers are spread.

Thanks Graham.
That will do fine. Have saved it in Photoshop to d'n'drop.

I'll click this as resolved,,,, but if anyone knows of one that's built into Word, please feel free to advise.

thanks again Graham.

sorry Eric, our messages crossed.

Thanks for the info - have looked in wingdings (&2,3) but can't see a hand.

maybe looking too hard - will try again later.

cheers again

I think there is a freebie here: (on Right, a page or two down.)

In Word 2007 select Wingdings as the font then type a capital I to get a hand with the thumb on the right or select Wingdings2 and type a capital N to get a hand with the thumb on the left.
Both of these are in the third row down in the symbols dialogue after choosing Windings or Wingdings2 as the font.

Quite a few to go on there chaps - thanks.

The wingdings would have done for my purpose,,,, all I gotta do now, is remember where it is for next time.

cheers folks
Baz
