Sygate Firewall

I had to reinstall an older version of Sygate because Smc of Sygate kept freezing the screen. On boot-up it keeps asking me to register, but I can't because the site it tries to connect to doesn't exist (it's now Symantec). I have run msconfig start-up, but there is no mention of anything like regserv or similar, how can I stop this each time I boot? P.

Smc of Sygate kept freezing the screen

this is usually due to sygate trying to use a corrupt network adaptor.

Uninstall all the network adaptors in Device manager reboot and reinstall the network adaptors and sygate should now work OK.
