Switches on itself

Can anyone possibly explain why sometimes I can come to my pc to find it has switched itself on itself after a perfectly normal shut down the night before?
Running XP home edition.

Have you got "Wake on LAN" set in the BIOS?

You can get to BIOS by pressing the DELETE key as your pc is booting up. But if you unplugged the power socket, then your pc would have no power to boot-up by itself....T

other items like Wake on ring etc its maybe a short on the Case switch inner of plastic panel.
