Hi All,

I've just ran 'Swat It' a trojan and Bot scanner and it has found the following:

C:\program files\Logitec\descktop manager\program\restart.exe

As I have both a logitec keyboard and mouse can I delete this file or should I just leave it alone.

Swat It lists it as a 'Generic downloader'.

AVG, NAV (when I had it), have never detected this file.

All advise would be gratefully recieved.

Many thanks,

Mike

click here for an old posting on Logitech's tendency to pad their drivers with potentially undesirable extras. As it's probably an auto update feature it's unlikely to cause any problems. But equally deleting it shouldn't be an issue, particularly if you have your driver disks to hand in case I'm wrong.

Hi Belatucadrus,

Thanks for the advice. I'll run swat it again and delete the file.

I have the driver disks, any problem I can just reinstall them.

Thanks for the advice and the direction to the old posting.

Mike
