A friend of mine and myself have noticed a slowdown of our pc's and the odd error message coming up "svhost.exe has caused an error...."

I have just deleted my system and imaged a virgin copy back in its place.

All running well at the moment...but 1 min from startup my norton firewall alerted me to an incoming 'low risk' attempt to access my pc.

The details are something like windows/system..../svhost.exe
I have blocked it for now.

Is it this thats causing the slowdown etc?

Ignore it. Can't understand why it's not working. Just open google and key svchost - K
