My Norton firewall has started to tell me every 10 minutes that a remote system is trying to access my PC.The path is always c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe and the local port is always 1026 but the remote address is always different. Should I allow or block this access? Thanks.

I read your links. I didn't understand some of it but I think it seems ok to permit this access?

It *should* be OK.

Just to be sure that it isn't a trojan trying to 'phone home' scan with a² click here
