Hi,
I am at the moment looking for some speakers for my laptop and television so I get good sound.

Now the problem is my mate says you have to have surround sound sound card. do I need one will they just be all able to work if they were just plugged straight into the computer, what are the other things i need jacks etc

Thanks
Ben

my pc came with sound through the monitor, i bought a similar set up, it just had the one 3.5 mm jack which plugged into my light green jack on the pc the surround is controlled by the sub woofer, ie the other speakers take feed from the sub woofer. i have onboard sound realtek which does have surround capabilies but as it only drives from one plug im guessing my sub woofer sorts in all out.
great for the games movies etc
