Summary tab on XP video file Properties missing?

  Ben_M 13:17 22 Oct 08

It used to be when hovering over a video file, XP would provide the size/dimensions of that particular video file or I could right click on the video file and get all info from the Summary/Advance tab......but now all those info are gone! How do I get it back?

P/s, since I can not upload pix here, please view the pix here, thanks.

Does the file have a default program associated with it that it normally opens with e.g. avi file opens with Windows Media Player (or whatever you normally use to play it)?

If not go into Folder Options in Windows Explorer, Tools menu and select the File Types tab, find the file extension and change it to open with your preferred program.

Thanks Spartacus.

Yes, tey are all associated with MPC/Media Player Classic (I also tried to associate them with Windows WMP10 and still not showing the details...)

The person that referred me to this blog mentioned something to be re-enabled in the registry?

Best regards.
