Re check the fan something could be catching on it.

How do you mean? when the cpu starts going. Its going all the time from Startup

Was it previously mounted using thermal paste? If so, and you've wiped the paste off without applying more, I suppose that might make it a bit noisier.

Have you mounted it perfectly? Could you have damaged it?

If you can't get it sorted out, I should buy a new one. Unless it's very special, it shouldn't cost more than a few pounds.

Check that its seated properly and nuthing is catching like been suggested.

When you say makes lots of noise when cpu starts ghoing. I am presuming you meen when it starts CPU intensive applications.

The paste goes between CPU and heatsink - nothing to do with the fan which is above the heatsink?

I am presuming you meen when it starts CPU intensive applications... yes.

I did wipe off the thermal paste. had serious dust issues. let you now what happens when i replace it.
