I used to be able to go to windows explorer and on the left side choose all my favourite. This opened them on the right screen and by selecting the all items button I could then send them to the d: drive to burn later.

But now I cant do this. It wont save them .Usually a screen came up saying you have files to be written etc whenever you first boot up.

Now I have to put in a disc before it will even send them to burn

Many thanks if you can help.

In other words you have lost the D:\ Drive in the send to menu when you right click

Yes thats it. Also when i now click on the bubble that come up ,when you first boot, saying you have files to write etc, it now just dissapears without showing the files.

I have Win98 but it may work the same look in Explorer in the windows folder to see if you can see a send to folder if you can right click and drag on the D:\drive to the send to folder let go and create a shortcut you should then be able to send files. or if there is a particular folder on D:\ you can do that with the folder on D:\
