Streaking Prints from HP Laserjet 1200

  dregn 07:48 02 Sep 06

I am experiencing continuous streaking on documents about 15mm in from the lefthand edge of the page.
I have followed the cleaning procedure detailed in the user manual, including running transparency media through the printer in maintenance mode. This appears to solve the problem but the next document displays the same streaking.
I wonder if any other readers have experienced the same problem. Any advice appreciated.

Check the printer cartridge has not picked up some dust. Remove it, check it, replace it, try it.

If this fails there could be some other debris lurking on a roller or pad.

As STREETWORK has said there could be dirt on one of the rollers.

STREETWORK and wee eddie, thanks for the advice. It is so not long ago that I changed the toner cartridge but I will extract it and examine it for damage. I'll report further. Many thanks .

Have been spilt on the drum when you did the change over?

wee eddie,
Thanks for that and I think that is a possibility.
I will have another cleaning session and check results.
