Strange shut down and restart

On some occasions usually when I click on a link from one website to another, my PC shuts down and then restarts ...... all by itself!
It has happened also at other times but I cannot recall the exact details.
Anyone know why this is and how it can be fixed?
Windows XP Home Sp2 - 3 GHz P4 with HT - ATI Radeon 9200
Thanks

right click 'My Computer' - 'System properties' - 'Advanced' -'Startup and Recovery' - 'Settings'

on System Failure - is Automatically restart ticked

could be the page you are accessing violates some protocol and the computer is doing this action

Thanks!
But WOW!! That looks complicated!
If I stop for a coffee (black) I might forget where I was!
Thank you again for your response.
I will try it when I pluck up courage!

Never mind with all those Marks and Spencers Vouchers that you are going to get, you will be able to get a new computer. On the other hand maybe your computer is overheating,Check that there is no fluff or dust clogging the air vents at the back,Also does your computer keep the proper time and date.

If I had shares in M&S, I would give them away!

Thanks for your suggestion about the re-starting etc., I will give it a vacuum clean.
Yes, keeps perfect time.
