See the link above for a screenshot.

I installed a programme a while back but i have forgotten what it was and cannot find it in my "programme files" folders to uninstall the programme. It has has loaded a "thumbs" data base file into each and every folder in my hard drive that contains some data. It is annoying me know and i want to get rid of it.

I hope someone on here has the same programme and can direct me in a way to uninstall it. Thanks folks

You may find that's a `thumbs.db` file, generated automatically by Windows, at least in folders containing images. If there's one in every folder that's a different matter.

Either stop Windows creating them - Control Panel/Folder Options/View, tick `Do not cache thumbnails` or hide them by ticking `Hide protected operating system files`.

oops maybe i should just hide the hidden files.

maybe it was the "system volume information" folder
