Strange error in OE

  palinka 19:27 20 Aug 05

This started today I replied to an email, clicked send and got this error message "You have entered an incorrect email address and password. Please re-enter and try again" and an OK button.
If I click OK ithe message disappears and the email is sent. It happens with every email I send.
Smacks of a worm/virus to me, but AVG is up to date, and Sygate is running too; and I an't think of anything that has happened to cause it.
Has anyone a solution please?(Win ME; BB connection)

I've started getting the same problem today as well.

It seems to be linked to MSGTAG which I run.

Are you also using MSGTAG?

  Jackcoms 20:19 20 Aug 05

Yep, definitely related to MSGTAG.

I've just un-installed MSGTAG and can now send/receive e-mails without problem.

  palinka 20:37 20 Aug 05

thanks; yes, I use MSGTAG. I'll try uninstalling. Have you re-installed? and are you still "Error" free?

  Jackcoms 21:04 20 Aug 05

No, I haven't re-installed and I'm not going to hurry to bother.

MSGTAG was a 'nice to have' not a 'need to have'.

I sent an email to msgtag ; here is their reply: "Thanks for your email. .........We were experiencing some technical server
difficulties but we've now managed to resolve them. ......MSGTAG should be working as normal again now."
And it is.

OK. Thanks for that.

I MIGHT re-install it. ;-)
