Stop error

I get a stop error when I first start up my pc. Sometimes it happens twice in a row when I restart. I'm running W2K pro SP4. The error is as follows:

STOP: (***loads of numbers***) IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Address 8042B44B base at 80400000, Datestamp 4344ec59 - ntoskrnl.exe

At the moment it's more of an inconvenience than a worry. Is this something that's likely to turn bad? At the moment I'm backing up data every couple of days just in case.

Thanks for that, Marsh Warden © ™. I'll apply the hotfix.
