This is not a major problem, more an irritating one!On occassions my mouse cursor refuses to work,it will suddenly start to click away furiously and the page will not respond. There is a noise like a machine gun fire assosciated with this.It is though the cursor has stuck in the flashing position.
To make it work I have to close down the web page or whatever page I am on then it works fine.
This probably happens once a week and I am mystified.
My mouse came with my HP pavillion 734 PC and it is using generic XP drivers.
Any ideas?

are often associated with corrupted drivers. You can try reinstalling the driver, to see if that works, but if it doesn't there may be a physical cause.
