Hello. I have recently become infected with the Trojan virus, PSW.x. I use a Toshiba, Satellite Pro PC laptop which is about 2 years old and runs on Windows XP. Any other details can be provided.
As i have not experienced or received viruses before, it would be greatly appreciated if i could have a step by step guide of how to remove this virus. I have tried to get help from McAfee which I use for internet security, but it dosen't seem to work. It would be easier to be in touch with someone in the UK. I really need your help, this is my partner's laptop and he'd be heartbroken if it couldn't be used again.

click here for a specific removal tool and use the link to online scanners to confirm its removal.

Ewido\AVGAS is probably the best prevention utility around as linked click here with some alternate removal advice and a link to the Kaspersky online scan page.
